Description
Summary:Formwork has an important portion of cost in reinforced concrete construction work. In this study a mathematical model has been developed to minimize wood usage in formwork. Additionally, a solution model, which has non-linear objective function and constraints, with different units of integer variables, has been proposed and a software program has been developed for this algorithm. Using traditional methods, an expert knowledge has been established for formwork material and size for practical usage. It is seen that result of the proposed algorithm requires 20 % less material than expert knowledge.
