Description
Summary:The Brazilian semiarid region presents itself as a locus that has numerous factors that restricts its rural development. This, in turn, generates a reduction in the living conditions of rural families in the semiarid region, and provides the rural exodus. However, new opportunities are emerging in the semiarid region, led by agroecological production practices, which ultimately break with the foregoing scenario. This work seeks to demonstrate how agroecology is in a coexistence strategy with the Brazilian semiarid region, covering local conditions and the time to improve the socioeconomic conditions of the farmers. In its preparation were assessed the articles contained in 06 copies of the journal Revista Agriculturas: experiências em agroecologia, in order to determine the behavior of agroecology family agriculture in the Brazilian semiarid region, as well as its role for coexistence with ecological limiting this region. Thus, it was possible to perform some preliminary analysis on the theme. Thus, after research, it was concluded that agroecology constitutes an important strategy for coexistence with the Semi-Arid Brazilian, contemplating local conditions and improving the socioeconomic conditions of the family and family farmers from productive diversification and income.
