Summary: | This article aims to study the agonistic and antagonistic behavior of the main political leaders of the PMDB, PP and PSD in negotiations for coalition known as the Triple Alliance in the 2014 elections in Santa Catarina. Thus, the theoretical framework developed by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe is used. The research is based on the reports and speeches reproduced by Santa Catarina main newspapers during the years 2012 to 2014 - the period when the negotiations on the coalition were reported. Within the theoretical framework, we prioritize the use of discourse theory and the development of concepts such as hegemony, agonism and antagonism. |
