In this paper an attempt is made to evaluate the solid waste management within the Jangipur Municipality, a cantonment town of West Bengal. This paper portrays MSW generation, its collection, as well as the attention of local self-government to spreading diseases. The paper also highlights the issues and challenges related to MSW, while trying try to find out some scientific treatment for solid waste management. |
