| description | <p>RESUMEN: Este artículo trata, en primer término, de ofrecer una reflexión de valor teórico general acerca del género de la biografía, proponiendo incluso una diferenciación de tipos, en la cual es distinguida con especial mención la reciente biografía dedicada por Rüdiger Safranski a Friedrich Schiller. En segundo lugar, se hace examen de la bibliografía biográfica acerca del gran poeta y pensador alemán para, finalmente, centrar el estudio en el referido libro de Safranski y el significado de la figura y la obra schillerianas.</p><p>ABSTRACT: The primary aim of this essay is to provide a general theoretical reflection on biography as a genre, at the same time offering a discrimination of its different types, with particular reference to Rüdiger Safranski’s recent biography of Friedrich Schiller. Secondarily, we also examine several biographical studies of the great German thinker and poet before focussing on Safranski’s work and on the figure and overall significance of Schiller.</p> |
