Description
Summary:This paper intends to offer a useful methodology to plan urban spaces. The purpose of this article is to understand the locally-referenced perceptual system of the teenagers of Bahía Blanca by identifying their socio-spatial practices, as well as the networks they establish with their families, friends and daily spaces. This, as means to define and categorize the places of higher common concurrence, as well as those which, because of their emotional significance become collectively referenced geosymbols. The method employed is founded in quali-quantitative data, which was used to elaborate subjective abstraction cartography. That will be used later to guide the urban intervention process, under concepts of aesthetics and functionality. It is expected to contribute to the recognition of the most appealing sectors for young people, in order to redefine the design of Bahía Blanca’s urban zones.
