| Summary: | Records of the psychid species Phalacropterix apiformis (Rossi, 1790) from Corsica, France are mapped. Information about biology and phenology is also given, as well as a description of the morphological characteristics of this species. We combine this with DNA barcoding results. P. apiformis is compared with P. restonicae, described in 2015 by Fiumi & Govi from Corsica. We conclude on the basis of this evidence that both taxa are conspecific: we propose Phalacropterix restonicae syn. nov. |
