With impressive average growth rate in the past two decades, the BRICS became a powerful and prominent force in the global economy. To harness the gains BRICS nations have made, we should consider promoting cooperation for growth and development among the BRICS, and through dialogue with other like-minded partners. This paper argues that BRICS could consider market integration in the areas of trade, foreign investment and capital markets to counteract the effects of negative global trends and work towards more extensive consultation and closer cooperation in international economic and also poses recommendations for BRICS cooperation in key areas. |
