Description
Summary:The article contains the results of experimental studies of everyday language consciousness of Russian and Mongolian native speakers. Words denoting animals are used as language material. The definition of everyday linguistic consciousness is based on the concept of “psychologically real meaning of the word”, which is identified by comparing the subjective everyday definitions obtained as a result of the linguistic experiment with native speakers of the two languages (100 people in every group). The purpose of the research is to identify similarities and differences in the interpretation of the words-stimulus meanings which are related to the peculiarities of the two national linguistic worldviews. Semantic analysis was carried out by sema interpretations of the subjective explanations of the meaning of the words. The study identifies the similarities and differences in the Mongolian and Russian linguistic worldviews on the basis of words that denote pets.
