Description
Summary:This study proposes a set of variables which are decisive in the international expansion of the Chilean Wine Industry: i) company size; ii) quality management; iii) communication and information technologies; iv) international management planning; and finally, v) implementation of the international marketing strategy. Results based on data between 2004 and 2007 allow to confirm six of the seven formulated hypotheses. The implications of these findings for theory and practice are discussed, as well as the main limitations. Finally, we offer some recommendations for further research.
