Summary:In order to study the influence of the vibration finishing process on the fatigue property of gear,two pairs of gear with the same design parameters is used for the contrast test,one pair of gear is treated by vibratory finishing,the other one pair with no vibratory finishing. The roughness meter is used to measure the roughness respectively,then using two kinds of methods for gear fatigue property comparison tests,the Locati fatigue limit rapid determination method and working conditions of constant load determination. The gear pairs meshes partly when the gears is installed in the gearbox,and then the test is carried out on the mechanical seal power gear test bed,by which the fatigue contact limit is obtained. The test results show that the vibration of finishing technology can improve the tooth surface finish,and also can improves the fatigue strength of gear effectively,what is more important,the life is prolonged apparently.
