description As a cultural practice, art can affect the paradigms that either maintain or shift societies to new ways of behaving. The foundational role of paradigms in systemic change makes art a meaningful infrastructure for addressing desired changes to such concepts as human-nature relationships. The common theme of interconnectedness among humans and between humans and the rest of nature in approaches of commoning and partnership are summarized and then further explored through three artworks that “debound” or challenge the divisions between humans and the rest of nature.
