Description
Summary:The authors have studied the influence of equal channel angular pressing on structure and properties of sintered alloy Al-40Sn. It was ascertained that the layer structure is formed in the alloy due to deformation processing; the phase layer thickness decreases when increasing pressing number. Besides the strengthening of Hall-Petch the alloy strength grows additionally due to interphase layer thinning. It was revealed that processing with the equal channel angular pressing method reduces the wear rate of the investigated alloy and influences slightly its friction coefficient value at dry friction.
