This study focuses on investigating the method of teaching Tajweed of a great imam of the imams of recitation and Tajweed, Imam Abu Muhammad Makki ibn Abi Talib al-Qaisi al-Qayrawani, who is one of the imams of the recitations and Qur’an. It also aims to reveal the most prominent practical benefits and scientific values that research benefits from Imam Makki's methodology in presenting Tajweed information. The research used the inductive analytical method by mentioning the letters arranged regarding its part of speech and then using applied examples of the words of the Qur'an, the defects that some people fall into, their cause, and the verbal precautions to avoid those defects. The study reached several results, including: the great role played by Imam Makki in stabilizing the pillars of Tajweed, and laying its foundations. The study showed that the methodology followed by Imam Makki depends on the educational policy, in presenting the information and grading it, and using the appropriate means that it had to. He also showed that it is an organized methodology of the opinions of his predecessors with criticism and diagnosis of them, and an innovator of new vocal opinions. The research revealed some of the phonetic opinions that Makki formulated in the form of phonetic laws and rules.
