Summary:Objective: to define the functions of central bank, to prove the existing of monetary methods of monetary-credit regulation of economy by central banks at the modern stage. Methods: abstract-logical method, based on the critical review of a wide range of scientific literature. Results: basing on opinions of various modern authors, analysis of the components of monetary-credit regulation mechanism in a number of countries, the interconnection is proved between the monetary-credit policy of a central bank and the unified financial policy of the state. Scientific novelty: The article contains the critical analysis of the modern monetary-credit policy of central banks, suggests and grounds the possibility to increase the efficiency of monetary-credit regulation. Practical value: possibility to optimize the influence of tools of central banks’ monetary-credit policy on financial sphere in order to promote economic stability by implementing single approaches to elaboration of the main directions of state financial and monetary-credit policy.
