In the Nuevo Luciano, two residents at Quito talked about a religious sermon and its style. The conversation continues on the colonial American education, the rethorical tradition, the educational contents and methods. They discuss the Jesuitical influence on the colonial educational system. Our purpose, then, will be to analyze these dialogue, the aesthetic debate, the criticism to those times education and the new system of knowledge suggested, a more rational, enlightened and modern system. |
