Description
Summary:In the first part of this article the author explains why Salmerón considered that the philosophy of Gaos represented the extinction of a way of making philosophy in Mexico that was characterized by the elaboration of personal conceptions of the world. In the second part, he demonstrates that, in spite of this apparently negative appraisal, the considerations of Salmerón concerning the relationship between ethics and the conceptions of the world might be interpreted as a defense and an adjustment of the vision Gaos had of philosophy.
