Description
Summary:Land consolidation (LC) is especially designed to aid efficient and rational agricultural landscape management with appropriate respect for the environment. This paper examines the role of the Territorial System of Ecological Stability (TSES) in land consolidation, and compares its creation and implementation in LC documentation in the Slovak and Czech republics. While in the Czech Republic the ecological measures are an integral part of land use planning and many successful realizations can be documented (477), the TSES in the Slovak Republic is overwhelmingly projected during a LC. Long term stagnation (no projects since 2009) of LC can be observed in the Slovak Republic. Implementations of proposed measures are scarce (six in total).
