description After the victory of Mongols on the Kharazmi government and establishment of Ilkhani government in Iran, new elements in different aspects entered the life of Iranians, which changed the social life in Iran largely. A remarkable example of these social changes occurred in the living condition of women in this period. It seems that the Mongolian ruling over Iran affected the type and quality of the presence of women in the Iranian society. The reflection of one of these important effective changes in the role of women in the Iranian society in the Mongol period lies in the meaning of the word “Eramook”. This word is used to describe activist women in the Mongolian troop and can reveal the unique features of a specific group of women. This word remarkably shows a specific type of women’s social activities in the Mongolian era, and even it is used in Persian texts in the Mongol period. It is quite important to understand the meaning of this word in order to read these texts. However, it seems no attempt has been made so far to know this word exactly and accurately. The present paper attempts to reread the Persian texts of Ilkhani era in order to find the meaning and explanation of the word Eramook. The goal is to clarify a part of women’s social life and the gender conditions established in the Ilkhani era in Iran. Also, the effect of the Mongol’s and Ilkhani ruling on the Iranian society is shown
