| description | The paper is dedicated to the history of intellectual interactions of Kondakov Archaeological Institute in Prague founded by Russian émigrés and Hungarian researchers. It reconstructs the main directions of these contacts, mainly associated with the names of N. Fettich and Gy. Moravcsik, analyses the views of Russian scientists on Hungarian archaeology, and outlines the fields of cooperation. The author emphasizes that both Russian émigrés and their Hungarian colleagues had to interact in a difficult and contradictory epoch associated with the consequences of the First World War and the collapse of empires. It is concluded that the Russian-Hungarian scientifi c contacts are highly effective. Regular exchange of scientific information in the interwar period, marked by political and economic instability, and the growth of international contradictions were of great importance. |
