description | The relevance of the study is caused by the need to develop new methods for the disposal of metal waste. This direction, with the participation of various intensifying effects, refers to resource-saving, minimizing the volume of capital costs for raw materials, production and subsequent sale. The aim of the research is to study the physicochemical laws of alkaline processing of aluminum waste in the ultrasound field, to propose a mechanism for this process, and, on the basis of the established patterns and the proposed mechanism, to develop a methodology for the alkaline processing of aluminum waste. Objects: samples of aluminum waste in the form of plates and shavings. Methods: volumetric measurement, differential thermal analysis, assessment and analysis of kinetic curves of the process at different temperatures. Results. The mass content of aluminum in the samples was found. The analysis of the kinetic curves is carried out, the rate constants of the process at different temperatures are calculated, and the order of the chemical reaction is found. Based on the calculated activation energy of the process, a characteristic of the kinetic region of the process was given. According to the data obtained, the ultrasound impact on the system contributed to the increase in the rate of the chemical process by 44,1 % at 303 K; by 25,4 % at 313 K. The process itself began within 1 ... 3 seconds and ended within a few minutes, which confirms the possibility of recycling aluminum waste using alkaline solutions at low temperatures. The resulting hydrogen can be used in hydrogen power engineering, since it is the only gaseous reaction product, which eliminates the need to purify it before transportation. Filtered aluminum hydroxide can be used in the silicate industry to produce porous corundum ceramics. |
