description | The importance of the administration problems of patients with hypospadias is due not only to the high frequency of occurrence of this anomaly but also the frequent development of postoperative complications and relapses. In this literature review provides information on guidelines for the management of patients with hypospadias, the causes of unsuccessful outcomes, as well as basic information regarding the benefits of the most frequently used techniques today. The study of the literature data shows the lack of consensus on such important points as the choice of the optimal age for the operation, the use of different types of urine traps, the optimal method of covering the defect, the phasing of the operation, etc. The proposed algorithms are not consistent, sometimes contradict each other, and most of them are inconvenient to use. All of the above causes the need for new research on the optimization of the management of patients with hypospadias. |
