Description
Summary:This article is the result of a reflection about the ways in which the urban landscape (re) produces and manifests as much in the physical space of the city as in the subjective perception of the people who move, live and/or work in it. We intend, as specific objective, to reflect how the urban revitalization project, initiated in September 7th Avenue in the city of Araraquara - São Paulo, transformed its landscape and the relationships established there between people with one another. For that, we utilized reports, the speech of people who work/live in this space, pictures, and especially our own participant observation about the Avenue. Finally, we realize that space in the cities is being directed to capitalist production. It is observed that is being taken into account only financial issues that these spaces can offer and not social relations that the space of cities must lead.
