Summary:The fundamental macro factors that have come to affect globalization are inclusive of intensifying internationalization of political economic and cultural relations among countries, reciprocal interaction of different cultures and social structures and the disappearances of different walls created by the Cold War, respectively.In the making of globalization, no one can underestimate the impact of technological progress and competitive and outward-oriented foreign trade policy strategies. In both the developing and developed countries, foreign trade policies and fiscal policies, in general , economic policies have formed the very basis of globalization. Among such unions, stands the most important one as the European UnionThe vantage point in the integration of Turkish economy to the EU has been the Customs Union. By means of this legal settlement, a variety of differentiations have been experienced and currency policies’ functionality have gained importance.
