Description
Summary:This article represents an interpretative and stylistic analysis of the musical composition ”Arde pământul” by V. Zagorschi, that is a highly expressive choral miniature, in which the author manages to express in 54 measures a number of important ideas such as longing for the country, love of homeland and nation. ”Arde pământul” stands out by quite a diverse choral writing in which prevail polyphonic processes combined with obvious homophone-harmonic exposure. Moreover, we observe a series of means of expression, such as: dynamic plan, vocal range, polyrhythmic formulas, melodiousness, etc. A detailed analysis of this musical piece will help us to highlight the technical means, its expressiveness and their direct application in the interpretation process itself.
