Here a kind of dialogue between the composer and the Romanian Maestro takes place. Gh. Ciobanu creates a vivid composition based on the identifi cation and subsequent personal reading of the general features of G. Enescu’s style – his musical and logical codes. The composer uses a special heterophonic-polyphonic texture with a variable number of voices, and also applies intensive chromatization of the material based on polymodal twelve-tone and “stretching technique”, which characterizes the principles of the new modality in general. |
