description The documents currently in force in the field of rationing fuel consumption by automobiles for a long time since their introduction did not undergo significant adjustments. At the same time, during the analysis of the reporting of some passenger ATPs, it was found that the actual fuel consumption by buses complies with current standards with some deviations. Held at the Department of “Automobile Transport” NSTU named after E. Alekseev’s studies prove the inefficiency of adjusting the transport norm according to operating conditions in modern realities. To eliminate these shortcomings, a probabilistic and analytical methodology for predicting fuel consumption was developed taking into account the high-speed driving mode, which showed a high convergence of the results with the actual average speeds of trucks under the condition of technically correct control. At the same time, the recommended model incorporates the uniform movement of the car with a constant average speed as prevailing in intercity transportation. The purpose of this study is to improve the developed methodology for predicting fuel consumption, taking into account high-speed modes of bus movement in urban conditions. Achieving this goal will allow you to develop recommendations for rationing the fuel consumption of city buses. To achieve the goal, the influence of road resistances when driving on paved roads was determined, the distribution of M3 class bus speeds along the routes of the city of Nizhny Novgorod was established to identify patterns of change, the influence of urban traffic conditions on fuel consumption by buses was determined. Fuel consumption in urban conditions is determined both when the bus is moving at an estimated average speed, according to the Weibull distribution, using the theory of the car and the effect of hydromechanical transmission on fuel consumption, and when a bus stops at stopping points, regulated intersections - as hourly consumption. The proposed accounting of the actual distribution of speeds, urban operating conditions and the specifics of the GMF operation significantly bring the calculation results closer to the actual values. The completion of the above studies is an improved probabilistic and analytical methodology for predicting fuel consumption, taking into account the high-speed driving mode in urban operating conditions, on the basis of which recommendations will be developed for standardizing the fuel consumption of city buses.
