Summary:The author wants to show that the passages where the Acharnians poet seems to undo the illusion and grant his public a privileged position, in so far as he seems to give them information about the fiction, are in fact ambiguous. The public of the comedy is actually, especially in these same moments, considered by the poet as credulous. That is why the political mission endorsed by the comedy - educating the citizens and making them clear-minded - must be put to the test.
