Objective: to describe the use, findings and potential of elastosonography in the diagnosis of Peyronie's disease. Method: a search of the literature is carried out in databases such as Medline, Hinari and Imbiomed. Results: elastosonography is a method for the evaluation of fibrosis in different organs, so it can be used in the diagnosis of fibrous lesions of Peyronie's disease. Conclusions: elastosonography has the potential to better identify and characterize these fibrous lesions underestimated by B-mode ultrasound. |
