For the FMLN, this movement became a pillar of its revolutionary mobilization. Considered the Sixth Front of struggle, this network mobilized international solidarity in different ways: as a pressure tool for governments, political parties and international organizations; as speaker of global denunciation of the violation of human rights in El Salvador; and as an effective tool for fundraising for insurgent organizations. The aim of this paper is to analyze the role that communication developed in the process of internationalization of the Salvadoran revolutionary movement with the launch of comunicational space in the international media and development of communication projects and propaganda teams abroad. In this line, we address how these projects linked to the FMLN acted as a vehicle to coordinate and expand the solidarity movement and as a tool for fundraising. |
