description The aim – to analyze the drug treatment of patients with stable CAD before and after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), to study the potential possibilities of usage of the contemporary pharmacotherapeutic technologies to improve treatment adherence of the patients. Materials and methods. The one-centre cross-sectional study analyzed data regarding treatment of 155 patients with stable CAD that had consecutive CABG performed in 2012–2013, before, peri- and after surgery. Among these patients there were 139 men and 16 women, age 39–81 years, median age 62 (quartiles 55–67) years. In 134 (86.4 %) patients on-pump myocardial revascularization was performed. Results. Peri- and after surgery treatment in vast majority of cases included standard basic drugs recommended for stable CAD. At the same time, we paid attention to the insufficient usage of statins. I.e., high-intensity treatment with statins during one week before surgery was prescribed only in 19 (12.2 %) patients. The routine usage of dual antiplatelet therapy in nearly 95 % patients with stable CAD after elective CABG also didn’t completely correspond to the current guidelines. Conclusions. The performed analysis shows real possibilities of better correspondence to the current guidelines and patients’ adherence to the treatment in case of usage of the contemporary combined drug forms, including the «polypill» technology.
