Summary:This work is devoted to identifying the relationship between disorders of emotional personal sphere of persons with temporal lobe epilepsy and their preferred coping strategies. The objects of the study were 40 people, including 20 patients with verified diagnosis of temporal lobe epilepsy who are treated at the neurological clinic of the Siberian State University. Clinical and psychological method of research included: the study of neurological status, multivariate Personality Inventory FPI, a scale assessing the level of situational anxiety, C. Spielberger and Y. Khanin, research methods coping strategies A. Lazarus. The results obtained in the present study results confirm the need for early detection of affective spectrum disorders in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy. Because of their availability and high levels of lead to a change in methods of coping with stress, this in turn leads to restrictions in the social sphere.
