The objective of the article is to study modern youth subcultures. To achieve the purpose, the following points were determined: 1) characterize modern Russian and foreign youth subcultures, influenced by media globalization; 2) specify the impact of modern youth subcultures on young people. The main methods of the study are the theoretical analysis of the literature on the problem of youth subculture; the interpretation analysis of Russian and foreign scientific works and internet materials on the problems of youth subculture and its influence on youth.
Scientific novelty of the research: youth subcultures which are topical for modern Russian society are identified and their possible influence on a person’s development and youth behavior is shown.
The practical implications of the study results are in their possibilities to be used as topical information about modern youth subcultures in the age of information society by teaching staff, psychologists and social care teachers in their research and teaching-educational work both with young people and their parents. |
