A new species of front-eyed trapdoor spider genus Idiops Perty, Idiops nilagiri sp. nov. Das & Diksha, is described here from Odisha, India, based on female specimens. Natural history information of the new species is provided. Keywords: Idiops, New species, Odisha, Taxonomy
