Description
Summary:To incorporate Don Quixote into the virtual environment offers many possibilities, from the literal adaptation into an electronic format, such as rewriting it on Twitter, to the allusion to the book in an avant-garde creation. Thus, among the various ways of tackling Don Quixote in Twitter, the project El Quijote en 17000 tuits by Diego Buendía, who makes a fragmented transcript in 17000 sections or tweets, stands out. Furthermore, Escribe tu propio Quijote by Belén Gache honors Cervantes’ novel with a simple interactive game that invites the reader to rethink the authorship issue within and outside the work. These two creations, born from the junction of the famous novel by Cervantes and the particularities of the new ecosystem, recover the quixotic nature to integrate it, from very different paths, into the digital universe.
