| Summary: | This paper studies the knowledgeeconomy and competitiveness of countries and theirmutual influences. The development of informationand communication technologies and the growth ofthe global economy have created a competition thatboasts features of the knowledge economy. A keyresource and competitiveness base in the moderneconomy is knowledge, which is the foundation ofsocial progress. Knowledge economy requireschanges in the process of creating value andsources of competitive advantage. How knowledgeis used effectively for economic development andlevel of development of countries in this regard ismeasured by an index of the knowledge economy.This paper presents many of the world reports andparameters that reflect the position of Bosnia andHerzegovina and its competitors in the globaleconomy, which permeates every pore of society.
