Summary:Introduction: To investigate the prevalence of enuresis in school- age children in Iran . Method: One thousands children aged 6-11 years old were included in the present study and were evaluated by questionnaire . Results : The prevalence of nocturnal enuresis for males was 19.7%females 12.2% and overall prevalence was 16.5% Deep sleep in children and low education of their parents were associated with enuresis .No correlation between enuresis and parent’s job , family size was detected but more common in first child of family .The neurotic children that referred were managed with imipramine .54.9% responded to this drug. Conclusion: In conclusion, enuresis is an important problem for both family and children especially in high prevalence area. Specific guidelines must be developed for education of parents and management of neurotic children
