Description
Summary:This study presented a recent profile on water accumulation levels and quality in 7 reservoirs in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza, Northeast Brazil. Water levels in the reservoirs showed negative correlation (at 0.05 level of significance) with salinity parameters. Electrical conductivity showed positive correlation with hardness, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, Cl- and total solids. Non conservative parameters also showed positive correlation, but less significant. This type of analysis is important for the investigation of water quality in reservoirs of the region. The prediction of parameters, mainly conservative, is simple and rapid for defining water quality profile.
