Description
Summary:Abtract:  This paper aims to prove the antithesis of the stereotipe of terrorism in Islam due to the many terrorism groups that use Islamic attributes in their actions by tracing the background of the formation of the stereotipe that Islam is a religion of terrorism and the antithesis of that stereotipe through Q.S. Al-Isra':33 and HR. al-Bukhari: 983. This research method is descriptive qualitative with the type of library research. The results of this study indicate that the stereotipe of Islam as a religion of terrorism actually does not need to be created because Islamic teachings themselves do not recommend committing violence, especially acts of terror, this can be seen in Q.S. al-Isra':33 and HR. Al-Bukhari: 978. However, due to misinterpretation in understanding the meaning of jihad in Islam, this stereotipe emerges. Until finally, the stereotipe has continued until now, exacerbated by the existence of many political interest groups who act in the name of Islam to carry out jihad.
