description With the 4th of June 1943 putsch, Juan Perón, a mere colonel at the time, got significantly closer to power. By relying upon a military lodge, the United Officers’ Group, his positions inside the government come one after another under the presidency of general Ramírez. By supporting general Farrell’s rise to power, he works his way up and becomes Argentina’s vice-president. His political opinions slowly go beyond militar framework; Evita’s encounter speeds up the breach. In jail for a few days, he’s set free under popular pressure and reaches presidency in 1946. How could Perón, as an eminent member of the army as well of the GOU, begin his political career as a member of a military coup d’état to come to be deposed by another one about ten years later?
