description | Research objective: Study of anatomic features of neurovascular conflict predisposing to neuralgic status development. Materials: Among 200 patients with neuralgia of the trigeminal nerve (NTN), 12 persons taken to the clinic for treatment have been in the condition of neuralgic status (NS). Results: Among 130 patients with trigeminal nerve radix (TNR) conflict with one stem of superior cerebellar artery (SCA) status has been developed in 3 patients (2,15%). At TNR conflict with two stems of superior cerebellar artery (SCA) neuralgic status has been developed in 2 out of 32 persons (6,25%). Three patients out of 9 (33%) being in conflict to TNR where superior cerebellar artery participated from the ventral side and the superior petrosus vein from the dorsal side have been hospitalized with neuralgic status. Two patients (50%) with NS out of 4 with SCA conflict from the ventral side and anterior inferior cerebellar artery from the dorsal side have been hospitalized. Neurovascular conflict of trigeminal nerve radix with two stems of superior cerebellar artery in front and stem of anterior inferior cerebellar artery behind have been found in 6 persons, two of them have been hospitalized in the condition of neuralgic status (33%). The influence upon trigeminal nerve radix has been observed either from the ventral side or from the dorsal one in the rest of 19 patients. Neuralgic status has not been found. Conclusion: The development of neuralgic status is predisposed by the conflict of trigeminal nerve radix with several vessels simultaneously damaging its ventral and dorsal surfaces. |
