| description | This article aims to analyze the relationship between civil society and the State in Guinea-Bissau since the first general elections in 1994 to the last election in 2019. We intend to investigate the current national political scene of Guinea-Bissau, which has passed by various internal conflicts involving civil society, the state and political parties, the role that the State reserves to civil society at the time of resolution of internal conflicts. Thus, we will seek to understand the contribution of civil society within the Guinean politics and relations between civil society andthe state. The state in Guinea-Bissau lies on the global scene from a particular configuration that combines three levels, which are: the relationship between the State, NGOs and community associations, driven by projects financed by international development agencies.
