Warisan budaya tradisional berpotensi untuk selalu berkembang, sehingga perlu mendapat perlindungan hukum,terutama pada negara-negara berkembang yang mempunyai kepentingan melindungi kekayaan warisan budaya bangsanya. Kesemuanya perlu mendapatkan perhatian yang serius untuk menghindari dari pemanfaatan oleh fihak lain yang tidak bertanggung jawab.
