Summary: | This text is the result of a study that sought to analyze the contribution of the Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID) to teaching apprenticeship in the initial training of teachers. It was carried out the scope of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), from a qualitative approach, with data collected from documentary sources and a questionnaire answered by undergraduate students in pedagogy and teachers of Early Childhood Education and the early years of Teaching Fundamental. The results show that the insertion of undergraduate students in the school context contributes to teaching apprenticeshipand qualifies the formation of future pedagogues. The experiences show that other training approaches are possible in undergraduate courses, when educational practice is taken as a central element of training.
