description | Objective To analyze the risk factors of perianal infection in patients with malignant hematopathy in order to provide theoretical basis for the prevention. Methods Case-control studies and cohort studies concerning the related factors or the main risk factors for perianal tissue infection in patients with malignant hematopathy were retrieved from the indexed articles from PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI), China Science and Technology Periodical Database (VIP), and Wanfan Database. Two evaluators independently retrieved and screened the literature, extracted the data, and made methodological quality assessment of the included literatures and cross-checked. Controversial issues were discussed and agreed by 3 evaluators together. Software Revman 5.3 was used for meta-analysis. A fixed-effect model or a random-effect model was used to combine odds ratio (OR) values and 95% confidence intervals (CI) to analyze each relevant risk factor, and sensitivity analysis was employed to assess the stability of the results. Results Eight literatures, containing a total of 1 857 cases were included for further analysis, including 272 cases (272/1 857, 14.6%) in the perianal infection group and 1 585 cases in the control group. The results of meta-analysis showed that age older than 50 years, irremission after chemotherapy, and the absolute count of neutrophils < 0.5×109/L, and acute myeloid leukemia were related to the formation of perianal infection in patients with hematopathy. There were no statistical difference in the incidence of perianal infection between male and female patients (P > 0.05). Conclusion The risk factors for perianal infection in patients with malignant hematologic disease are those aged over 50 years, unrelieved chemotherapy, and absolute value of neutrophils < 0.5×109/L and acute myeloid leukemia. |
