The level of this negative attitude should be known by the organization and its reasons and results should be determined. In this context, the aim of this research is to de termine the levels of general and organizational cynicism that express the negative attitudes of individuals employed in hotel enterprises in tourism sector towards life and the organization and to find out the relation between the general and organizational cynicism levels. For this purpose, the scope of the research covers staff of star hotels within the borders of the city of Kütahya. Afterwards, a questionnaire was conducted on the determined sampling. The questionnaire work was designed in two parts: the first part contains questions/variables about personal information and organizational structure while the second part contains two scales: one developed by Wrigthsman (1992) to determine the general cynicism level and the other developed by Brandes (1997) to determine the organizational cynicism level. As a result of the analyses, general cynicism and organizational cynicism were reduced to three dimensions as cognitive, affective and behavioral and were named accordingly. It was determined that cognitive dimension was at the highest level among general cynicism dimensions, whereas affective dimension was at the highest level among organizational cynicism dimensions.
