description The paper is focused on the study of the “megapolis” phenomenon in the anthropocosmic aspect. The inquiry concludes that “transgression” appears as a leading intention of Homo Urbanus in organizing its habitat in a megapolis. Transgression can be defined as a desire to go beyond space-time limits to the infinity of the Universe. The following substantive attributes of the transgression are defined: anthropic time (“drop out” from the time, “acceleration” and “slowing down” of the time), anthropic space (threedimensional expansion, sensory attack), and complication of the fractal nature of the city. The article describes the social practices of Homo Urbanus that embody following anthropocosmic intentions: the will to order and unity, comprehended time management, sensory filtration, anthropocosmic thinking. The creativity of Homo Urbanus in the context of consolidated responsibility for the future of the planet is considered to be the main factor of the harmonious development of the megapolis.
