description | The issue approached in the article refers to the role and functions of stage direction (didascalia) as a way of structure and communication in the dramatic text. On the basis of Ion Druta’s artistic discourse, there is an emphasis on the role of the secondary text in comprehending the main one (the dialogues and monologues of the characters). In addition, the author shows the attitude of the creative/authorial ego towards the characters’ actions, as well as the art of building the stage direction text in order to communicate the artistic message more profoundly, but also to extend the horizon of the receiver’s expectations. |
