Summary:One of the various effects of world wars is the process of Jewish immigration that takes place between wars with emphasis after the Second War. The Jewish survivors who move to the United States, take with them, an element different from the previous generation, they are the survivors of the Nazi pursuit and the last representatives of the Jewish European lifestyle. This fact reverberates directly in the way they understand themselves and how they are related to the community. In this text, we fi nd an analysis base on an outline made by Isaac Bashevis Singer about the Jewish immigrants to the United States, their impressions, confl icts and hopes.
