Kodėl svarbu apmąstyti gyvybės polėkį simuliacijos kontekste? Kaip įmanoma minėtų fenomenų sąveika? Vis labiau įsigalint vartotojų visuomenių tipui ir vis sparčiau plėtojantis virtualiosioms technologijoms, tikrovės ir jos fenomenų problema tampa itin aktuali. H. Bergsono „pozityvioji metafizika“ ir J. Baudrillard’o medijos filosofija lyginamos ne ieškant sąlyčio taškų, bet stengiantis įžvelgti tam tikrų esminių pokyčių tikrovės fenomenuose. Siekiama apmąstyti, kas nutinka bergsoniškajam gyvybės polėkiui simuliacijos veikiamoje tikrovėje. Parodoma, kaip gyvybės impulsas išsigimsta hiperrealybės sferoje.

Relationship between Elan Vital and the Phenomenon of Simulation: H. Bergson, J. Baudrillard

Summary
The author analyses a relationship between two concepts – that of the impulse of life by a representative of the „philosophy of life“ H. Bergson and that of simulation represented by the contemporary French thinker J. Baudrillard. From the viewpoint of the history of philosophy these two thinkers have not had any influence whatsoever on each others’ ideas. The above-mentioned relationship between the two concepts these two thinkers discuss as a sort of challenge regarding both the history of ideas and the problem chosen by the author of the article for her research. Why is it so important to think about the impulse of life in the context of simulation? How is the interaction between the above-mentioned phenomena possible? While a type of consumer societies gains a foothold and virtual technologies develop ever more rapidly, the problem of reality and its phenomena becomes more and more important. The “positive metaphysics” of H. Bergson and the philosophy of media of J. Baudrillard are compared not in order to find the common denominators, but rather to discover certain substantial changes in the phenomena of reality. There is a strive to reflect a change of the Bergsonian impulse of life in the reality by the process of simulation. It is demonstrated how the impulse of life degenerates in the sphere of hyperreality.
